Art healing worshop

Be sure to reserve your spot, as it is limited!

We are excited to host a free healing art workshop for our LGBTQ+ community and allies. When the world around us does not feel safe, the emotional impacts are significant. It is important to have a safe space to express and process these emotions. In this workshop, we will provide that safe space along with community connection. Art and other expressions like journaling (which can go hand-in-hand) allow us to release our big emotions so we don’t have to hold them so close.
In the workshop Kath Nash will lead us through optional prompts and share techniques to help get the creative energy flowing. No art experience necessary and materials will be provided. Art is for everyone and another part of what Kath will teach is how to push past creative block for those who have a hard time getting started.
Brought to you by: Fabulous Arts Foundation, Project Pride SRQ, and WSLR-Fogartyville
About Kath:
Kath Nash is a graphic designer based in Los Angeles. She spent her entire childhood in Sarasota and still has strong emotional and familial roots here. She’s back for an extended visit and excited to connect with more of the local community.
