Free Day Free Second Sundays at SAM

May 8 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Bring your friends and family to explore new art and thought-provoking exhibitions, and participate in our fun activities.

Celebrate the life of Felix Gonzalez-Torres

Experience movement, sound, and spoken word performances that activate awareness to connect past experiences to the present moment.

Travel with the performers throughout the Museum’s galleries—beginning with a performance by Pagan Babies (Jess Pope and Amber McNew) in the Wendy G. Surkis & Peppi Elona Lobby followed by Gabrielle Keusch in the 2nd-floor galleries.

These performances celebrate the closing of Felix Gonzalez-Torres’ “Untitled” (L.A.). Like these performances, Gonzalez-Torres’ work invites awareness and participation. We invite you to enjoy “Untitled” (L.A.) before the performances begin.

Musical Interludes – 12 pm to 1:30 pm
