LIVE PERFORMANCES
Jax Anderson
Previously known as “Flint Eastwood”, Jax is an alt-pop artist from Detroit, Michigan who has built an international audience by writing great songs and touring with the tireless work ethic that her city is famous for. She is known for her unapologetic fierceness as much as her kindness and smile. She champions authenticity in a world filled with fake news, and plants seeds of empathy in a world that constantly tries to separate us. She exemplifies strong female leadership in a world that still struggles to accept female leaders, and she believes that hope and love are the only way to combat widespread cynicism and hate. She’s a consummate creative who does her own photography, videography, and wardrobe, and every aspect of her brand is imbued with a clear sense of direction across these disciplines. She’s really a boss bitch.

Hover Car
Heavily influenced by early ’90s grunge, Hovercar has a sound that is equal parts aggression and nuance. Fierce lyrics, ferocious tones, and thunderous drums. Their full-length debut album released December 28, 2021.

LALO
“Sultry, melodic, soothing, and groovy,” is how EARMILK describes Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Lalo’s buttery-smooth, danceable brand of R&B-pop.
A native New Yorker, Lalo began his music career in Florida as a resident DJ at Sarasota’s Elevate nightclub and a keyboardist in dream-pop band Astralis. He was voted Favorite Musician at 2018’s Sarasota Out Awards before relocating to Los Angeles. As he began work on his solo project there, he joined queer new wave band The Venus in Scorpio, playing iconic L.A. venues like The Troubadour and The Satellite.
Blending 90’s R&B with modern pop sensibility, Lalo’s solo debut single, “Smoke & Mirrors,” was released in November 2021 has been featured in various publications and playlists, including Jon Ali’s Queer Necessities, Pride.com, and Grindr’s New Music Frigay. His upcoming May 13th release, “Promises,” find Lalo branching out into even dancier, sultrier territory.

Daddy
My name is Alexander Eli (he/him.) I’m a proud and open transmale musician and performer. When my former bandmates in TOMBOi moved away from our hometown, I chose to stay and take a position as a bar manager at a music venue. I helped them build and integrate a full liquor program into their venue, all the while dealing with unrelenting dysphoria and transphobic patrons and staff. I stayed solely to save money for top surgery and medically transitioning. It took me two and a half years of planning and living very frugally to raise the $10k. Starting HRT alone cost me around $5k.

When Covid hit, Music venues were some of the first businesses too close and ‘non-essential’ surgeries were postponed. The only money I had was my top surgery fund. So I paid one month of bills, then two, then three….until all the money was gone. Being severely asthmatic with a pretty intense history with spouts of pneumonia, I honestly was terrified of not surviving a spout of Covid. Now I’m back to $0 in my top surgery fund and nowhere close to my goal.
Some days I feel an extreme since of grief for this reality. This time last year, I was in a very dark place, ready to tap out. Completely lost & over it. Pain, discomfort, loss and grief have been my constant teachers.Perseverance & Resilience constant themes, constantly a backhanded compliment…..but we push on…. bc life is hard, life is precious, life is short.
I didn’t get to choose the body I arrived in, nor did I have any say on the gender I was assigned, but I absolutely refuse to be buried in this skin before I get top surgery.
So, here I am, arms open, feeling very vulnerable sharing my story and journey.
I can’t express how overwhelming trying to function in the heat with a binder or tape on is. I can’t leave my house without either, and I don’t have the option to take breaks from binding during the days. This leaves me with nerve issues, constant back & shoulder pain, shortness of breath and stomach issues. I do my best to push through it all with a smile and being kind to myself. Some days I’m successful….some days I’m not.
I honestly don’t know how to plan or think of anything else. I have tunnel vision.
I will be releasing music and performing as, DADDY, also to raise money to achieve this goal. You can follow me on IG and Spotify @Listen_2_daddy.
Your donation will go towards my pre-surgery doctor visits, surgery, post-op supplies and accommodations for my recovery.
I can’t express all the feelings involved in this. I’ve always been better at processing emotions through music. I dream of the day I can perform on a stage without a binder, maybe even without a shirt…. with a lil’ help from kind souls like you…maybe we can make that dream a reality.

DJ Don Roc
In a span of just seven years, DJ Don Roc has established herself as one of Florida’s most innovative music curators. Don’s love for music was sparked during her childhood growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida. Seeing female icons such as Missy Elliott dominate in hip-hop motivated her to begin freestyling and ghostwriting for local artists throughout her adolescence and into adulthood. It wasn’t until 2013 that she discovered she had a natural talent for blending records. From there, Don purchased her first mixing board and transitioned from aspiring rapper to DJ.

After a year of honing her craft, Don made her debut at the local Cycle Lounge on January 1st, 2014. This inaugural event earned Don the respect of her city and secured her reputation as a premier party starter. Shortly after playing her first set, Don was sought out for various gigs, one of which did not include DJing at all. Instead, the blossoming music mixer was called on to interview platinum-selling southern hip-hop staple Lil Boosie, for Burg Life Radio. This interview not only further skyrocketed her career but showcased her versatility in entertainment.
In the year that followed, Don chose to shift her focus to downloading songs online and pitching down the tracks with her Serato Pioneer DDJ while adding quick “chops” to each record. This collection of music was inspired by the late DJ Screw. However, Don knew that she needed to add her Florida flavor to it, which is why in April 2015, she launched Slugged Sounds, a new branch of the chopped and screwed sub-genre that was exclusive to her home state. Slugged Sounds releases nostalgic and authentic mixes while connecting open-minded fans and musicians worldwide through digital media, music, and specially curated events. Artists who work with this collaborative effort include the mastermind herself, Jerry Nova, BTMVLE Jotta, Renald Bart, and SOAP Zac.
As Slugged Sounds grew, Don continued catching the attention of some of entertainment’s biggest names. In the Fall of 2015, she was called on to DJ a show for Robb Banks at the Orpheum in Tampa, which was hosted by DOPE Entertainment, the founders of the Rolling Loud festival.
As her artistic career grew, Don found herself at a critical crossroads. For years, she juggled multiple weekly DJ bookings while working full-time and attending school. Her schedule grew even more rigorous after graduating from the University of South Florida in 2016. Though she tried to prevent her two worlds from colliding, it was only a matter of time before Don was forced to choose between the conventional corporate America existence and her creative ventures. In 2019, she resigned from her job and tackled music full-time. The powerful femcee has never looked back.
Today, Don Roc continues to be regarded as one of the hottest female DJs in the game, mixing on radio stations such as 99 Jamz The Burg and gaining over 500,000 streams for her slugged and chopped mixes. In 2021, Don founded “727 Day,” a day of celebration for the city and area code that birthed her. Officially launching on July 27th, she hopes to bring creators together for a series of performances and artistic experiences.

Gracie Cespedes
I’m a non-binary queer singer/songwriter from Sarasota, Florida. Growing up there was little to no representation in music for queer artists, and my goal is to change that. In playing acoustic original music and covers, my only goal is to be the artist my younger self needed- and hopefully to be that for other people as well.
